Splash Flash News - Flash: KNWV recognized national class

The Flash Class, only two years old, has been recognized as national class of the KNWV at its annual meeting. Never before did a new class gain official recognition so soon after its introduction. Next year the number of Flash sailors is expected to grow by at least 50%. In the past year the Flash took 5th place when we look at the numbers of boats sold in the Netherlands. The Flash takes part in well-known sailing events such as Kaagweek, National Championships, Sneekweek and the European Championships 2002, held in England. The very latest Flash news The Flash class has been presented to the ISAF to succeed the Europe as women’s single handed dinghy for the Olympic Games in 2008. This presentation took place during the ISAF meeting in Lisbon. This presentation was held by two International Splash Class Organization officials. Just like the Splash, the Flash class also has the ambition to become an internationally recognized class.
