Splash Flash News - Gea Jutjens 9th at Youth Worlds in Sydney
Some time ago we reported that Gea Jutjens would go to the Youth World Championships in Sydney. She was one of 22 competitors who sailed in the Byte. They were not just 23 competitors, but the 23 strongest female sailors in the world! After 12 races Gea finished ninth. Well done, Gea.The Dutch team finished 3rd out of 32 teams, behind France and Australia. Gea will tell us about her experiences later on, but we donīt want to keep this from you: Hi, Roel, I just want to tell you that it is really great here in Sydney. Sailing is super, with good winds and big waves, so it cannot be better. Today it is a bit cooler than on the other days, but still very warm. The Byte I am sailing in here is a lot better than the one I used at the sailing school!!! We are all staying at a castle here. That is cool. Many rooms, although they are a bit small, but ok. We can also use the Internet here, as you can see. Bye, Gea < Back > |
