New Zealand Splash Class Association Newsletter- March 2003
|
This is a short newsletter to let you know how the special meeting went and the regatta results.
Special Meeting, 15th March, Torbay A special meeting was held at Torbay during the Olympicsail regatta to take the Association another step nearer becoming an Incorporated society. There was nearly a full compliment of members present – thank you to all those that came. A motion was passed to adopt the amended constitution as had been circulated to all members. A second motion that the NZSCA become incorporated was also adopted. Therefore Chris Lambert is taking the required information back to the Lawyer, who has generously donated her time, and it should not be long before our incorporation is finalised. Olympic Sail Regatta, Torbay, 15 & 16 March A fleet of 10 Splashes were out on the waters off Torbay during this regatta which included a wide range of classes and some top sailors competing for Olympic selection. A lot of very positive comments were heard about the Splash and it was a great opportunity to promote the class. Upcoming Events: March 22 – 23 Taipa Sailing Club Summer Regatta incorporating NYA champs. Registration 9a.m. on Saturday, briefing 10 a.m., 1st race (of 4) 11a.m.. Three races on Sunday starting at 10a.m. Entry fee $20. < Back > |
