Flash proposed as the Olympic single-handed dinghy for women!

With great pleasure we like to inform you that the ISAF (International Sailing Federation) has accepted the submission of the Flash-class officially. The submission consists of a proposal for the Flash to be selected as the equipment for the women single-handed dinghy in the Olympic Games of 2008. Please find enclosed our new information document of the Flash class. This is a unique success for the Flash, only four years old. The Flash shows a strong increase in numbers. At the moment a Working Group of the International Splash/Flash Organisation is very active to promote the Flash worldwide. This coming November the ISAF will decide if the Flash is going to be the new Olympic Sailing Class for the women in China 2008.  A special Flash Olympic Games 2008 website will be placed on the Internet.  Please find the official submission for the Flash under the following link: http://www.sailing.org/meetings/submissions/2004/May04.asp Selection of equipment for the women's single handed dinghy event at the Olympic Regatta 2008 ISAF President Events Sailing Regulation 16 The Splash Class International Association invites boy and/or girl teams of all countries to sail the official "2004 Splash World Championship" or the 2004 EuroCup Flash at Nieuwpoort, Belgium, from 10th - 17th July 2004.
